Becoming a Lived Experience Mentor
Using your own experiences to support others safely and effectively
This interactive training is suitable for anyone who uses, or would like to use, their own lived experiences to support others.
Whether you're new to mentoring or already involved in peer support or lived experience work, the session will help you develop your confidence and skills in supporting others effectively.
We'll explore the role of a lived experience mentor, including counselling and helping skills, knowing when and how to share personal experiences, maintaining healthy boundaries, recognising that everyone's journey is different, and empowering others through appropriate support and signposting.
