A suicide intervention training course that not only teaches the theory and practice of being suicide alert, but also how to conduct a full suicide intervention with follow-up.
It is seen as the gold standard and recognised internationally.
Over the course of their two-day workshop, ASIST participants learn and practice how to:
Understand the ways that personal and societal attitudes affect views on suicide and interventions.
Provide guidance and suicide first aid to a person at risk of suicide in ways that meet their individual safety needs.
Identify the key elements of an effective suicide safety plan and the actions required to implement it.
Appreciate the value of improving and integrating suicide prevention resources in the community at large.
Recognise other important aspects of suicide prevention, including life-promotion and self-care.

30 minute training aimed at helping people feel more equipped and confident talking to someone who is having thoughts of suicide.

2 hour course on trauma, toxic stress, adverse childhood experiences, neuroscience trauma research, building resilience and supporting healing through Trauma Informed Practice.
RSPH Healthy Minds Manchester
ONLINE: : SELF GUIDED
A new 1 hour online course to understand; the difference between mental health and poor mental health, the things we can do to help us cope with negative thoughts and feelings and the benefits of talking about and sharing our thoughts and feelings with someone we trust.

A 3 session evidence-based training programme that gives participants the skills and confidence to have conversations around mental health.

Lived Experience Mentoring
Supporting learners to develop an understanding of a mentoring role and use their own experience to provide helpful strategies for others whilst acknowledging that each experience is unique.
Additionally, learning to provide information, advice, signposting and support networks and helping those that support to develop assertiveness skills to aid in getting the help they need.

Suicide prevention workshop for professionals working with children and young people aged 5-14 years old, complements learning in ASIST.
Group Dynamics
Learning how groups form, engage, and resist, and by understanding how to create an environment that emphasises the needs of the group as well as those of the individuals within it, support groups can maintain focus, cohesion, and effectiveness.
This course also covers; how to coordinate group discussions and manage differing personalities, common challenges and interventions to manage them, managing difficult behaviour within groups and how to foster inclusivity.
