At Emotional Wellbeing Group (EWG), we provide free and low-cost counselling services and emotional support to people in Wigan and the surrounding areas. Whether you’re experiencing anxiety, stress, relationship issues, loss, or just need someone to talk to, our counsellors are here to help.

We offer a range of accessible mental health support options, including live chat support, face-to-face counselling, webcam counselling, young people support and group therapy. Some services operate on a minimum donation basis, helping to keep support affordable for everyone.

Our live chat counselling service is a confidential, free emotional support drop-in where you can chat instantly with a trained counsellor online. This service is ideal if you need:

  • Immediate emotional support

Live Chat

Our youth counselling service supports young people aged 13–17 with emotional wellbeing challenges. Sessions are delivered by trained counsellors in a safe, comfortable setting and tailored to support young people through issues such as:

  • School stress

  • Friendship or family difficulties

  • Anxiety and self-confidence issues

Face-to-face counselling is available in person in Wigan, with a minimum donation required.

Couples counselling

If you and your partner are experiencing difficulty in your relationship, our couples counselling services provide a supportive space to communicate, reflect, and rebuild understanding together. Online Counselling

Our webcam counselling service enables you to access counselling from the comfort of your own home. Using secure video technology, you can meet with a counsellor and receive emotional support for a wide range of issues.

This service provides a flexible way to access our counsellors when in-person sessions aren’t possible or convenient. A minimum donation applies to this service.
