Mindfulness
Do you feel like you are constantly on the go?
Never get time for yourself?
Feel like you want to be Grounded even for just a moment?
What Is Mindfulness?
Mindfulness is a form of mediation in which you are focused and intensely aware of what you are sensing and feeling in the moment, without interpretation or judgment. You are just simply in the experience and sense of the moment without anything else in the way. Practicing mindfulness involves the likes of breathing techniques and guided imagery to relax the body and mind, helping to reduce stress.
Why Mindfulness?
Life can be challenging, busy and stressful. We often hear phrases such as “I've got so much to do" or “There's not enough hours in the day”. Our brains and thought processes can be continuously working and thinking. Examples are being preoccupied in planning, thinking of solutions, even daydreaming or procrastinating, or simply having doubts and negative thoughts. This can be draining mentally, emotionally and psychically . It can also make you more likely to experience stress, anxiety and depression. Practicing mindfulness exercises can help divert your attention away from this kind of thinking and engage with the world around you. This allows you to take a break, switch off and just be in the moment. Such practices are methods of self care.

Examples Of How To Practice Mindfulness
Sit down and be in the moment. Notice what you are sensing in the moment through your senses of touch, sound, sight, smell and taste.
Focus on your breathing. When you have negative thoughts, sit down, take a deep breath and close your eyes. Focus on your breath as it moves in and out of your body. Doing this for a minute or two is helpful.
Walk slowly in a quiet space. Focus on the experience of walking, be aware of the sensations of standing and your balance and rhythm, taking in the fresh air.
Mindfulness can be done on a daily basis, anywhere and anytime to suit you as many times as you would like. Implementing it on a daily basis is good for self care.
